About Becks Glaucoma Foundation

BECKS GLAUCOMA FOUNDATION GHANA (BGFG) is an award-winning non-profit organization and is also a recognized member of the Glaucoma patients association of Ghana that was established on the 10th of October 2019. It seeks to solve glaucoma-related issues by providing constant and frequent glaucoma awareness, coupled with quality eye surgery, and screening at no cost.

Most especially, to help restore the sight of the vulnerable diagnosed with glaucoma and; to enlighten these people on matters of the human eye as well. As aforementioned, our organization gives aid for quality health services to be rendered to the underprivileged in battling eye-related issues.

The alarming increase in the cases of glaucoma globally has necessitated the quest to subjugate this menace, and BGFG is highly committed to staying on course, as far as nailing it is concerned. BGFG thrives on the human deeds of philanthropists and other individuals, religious groups, media houses, and organizations that deem it noble to champion this course.

It is estimated that 700,000 Ghanaians are living with it, out of that number, 60,000 are said to be suffering from Glaucoma and 30,000 are likely to become blind if the disease is left untreated.
